Project Description

This home was a 1950?s original bungalow. The homeowner wanted a space that functioned well for her. She needed great storage and more counter space. She wanted a floor that was durable, but not hardwood as it was out of the budget. We also needed to insulate the outside walls as all of the insulation (old newspaper) had disintegrated.

We started with a cabinet layout, which means a trip to the granite yard and tile shop! Even though this project was not started until spring, we did all our leg work before the end of November so that all was ordered and ready for her start date of April 25th. This gave us 2 great benefits. The first was it allowed us to take advantage of Black Friday shopping for appliances which was great for our budget. The second, it allowed us to turn her space around, including the scope creep, in 6 weeks.
